IOV to Expand to the Northeastern Part of the Country

GUWAHATI: The Institution of Valuers is a national body of the country which looks into the field of valuation of properties and provides the necessary licences and regulations to the professionals engaged in this sector.

Raju Tyeng, Principal Chief Commissioner of the Income Tax Department in the North East Region was the Chief Guest for the event while Amit Pradhan, the Executive Director of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India and S K Baruah, the Executive Director of NEDFI were present as the Guests of Honor.

In an event held in a resort in Guwahati on December 16, the organisation announced an application to connect people in this sector as well as to digitalise 766 districts of India in a bid towards the success of Skill India and Digital India Campaigns. The organisation also mentioned that the Indian Valuers Congress will be hosted in Guwahati from today onwards. This three-day event aims to open the business gates to the South East Asian region in terms of the valuation sector and have a mindset of globalisation towards the same.

The upcoming conference will be the 53rd Indian Valuers Congress and will aim at Investing Resources for the Growth & Spread of the Valuation Eco-System. It will deal with several important topics related to the sector. Some of them are Harmonising the Valuation Eco System, Growing Reliance on Valuation Professionals, Renaissance in Valuation Education, Foreseeing the future of the Valuation Profession by frontline regulators, Cross Border Valuation Practice, Convergence of Standards, Compliance and Regulatory Guidelines and Case Studies on the Importance of Documentation & Presentation.

The conference is aimed at not only encouraging new talent from the region to join the valuation sector, but also towards the value addition of the existing professionals in the field by showcasing new technology and methodology.
